The Company

Cando Rail & Terminals operates the Cando Lethbridge Multi-Purpose Terminal in southwest Alberta.

The terminal provides railcar staging and storage, transloading, railcar repair and industrial switching services, giving businesses in the region access to significant rail infrastructure and logistics capacity.

Cando operates a network of more than 35 terminals and short-line railways across North America, placing the Lethbridge terminal within a much larger continental logistics network.

The Opportunity

A successful industrial location must provide more than affordable land. Companies also need efficient ways to receive inputs and move products to customers.

Southern Alberta combines agricultural and industrial production with direct connections to Canadian and U.S. markets.

Cando's Lethbridge terminal strengthens that proposition by providing specialized rail infrastructure directly within the region.

Why Southern Alberta?

Moving Goods from Southern Alberta

The Lethbridge terminal provides businesses with infrastructure capable of handling a variety of commodities.

Its location close to major highways and the Canada-U.S. border has also made it a transloading location for wind-energy projects in Alberta and northern Montana. The property includes approximately 35 acres of laydown area for the movement and storage of products.

This infrastructure gives manufacturers, processors and resource-sector companies additional options for moving large volumes of goods into and out of Southern Alberta.

Southern Alberta combines proximity to the U.S. market with highway and rail infrastructure capable of supporting industrial-scale movement of goods.

For site selectors evaluating manufacturing, food processing or logistics investments, Cando's Lethbridge terminal demonstrates that the region already has specialized transportation infrastructure in place.
