A Productive, Well-Educated Labour Pool
Alberta is home to the highest labour productivity in Canada and has the highest participation rate in the labour force among all provinces.

SUMMARY
The province’s population is highly educated, with 64.9% holding a post-secondary certificate or university degree. There are excellent post- secondary institutions in Alberta, which contribute to the fast-growing and youthful population, which is also highly diverse. In fact, Alberta has the third highest percentage of landed immigrants in the working age population.
The SouthGrow region alone has a workforce of 120,645 and is forecasted to see most of its post- secondary students graduate in the fields of Trades and Technology, Health Sciences, and Business by 2028. These top three fields make up 60% of all post-secondary graduates.

Additionally, Alberta has a well-regarded public healthcare system and quality public education system, which helps to keep costs down for residents and contributes to a high quality of life.
